The Sandwich Shop is what happens when two executive chefs decide Great Kills deserves something better than a basic sub. Same craft, no attitude — just really good food on Giffords Lane.

Frank and Kevin have worked together since their time at Babbo Enotecca Ristorante, in NYC. Frank reigned as the Executive Chef for the better part of 17 years. Kevin, a graduate of ICE in NYC worked his way through the ranks in the kitchen at Babbo. The duo departed, and have since worked together at different locations in NYC and most recently on Staten Island. Sharing the same vision, a gourmet “one stop shop” Sandwich Shop, they’ve brought their talents to the Island to serve up some of their hometown favorites.
More than a sandwich shop
The menu runs deep: Reubens, Cubanos, Philly cheesesteaks, "SS" Poutine, Cobb salad, crabby fries, and more. We built a menu we'd actually want to eat from, and it grew from there.
Rooted in Great Kills
Find us at 61 Giffords Lane, Monday through Saturday, 9am to 7pm. No franchises, no shortcuts — just a neighborhood spot that shows up every day.
Breakfast, lunch, and everything between
We start early with breakfast sandwiches and burritos and keep rolling through the lunch rush with the full lineup — seven days of good eating.
